Lori Radecki began writing and illustrating children’s books when her first grandchild was born. That book, “We Are Glad You’re Here!”. launched her art career as well. “Did you have a Good Sleep, Ladybug?” is her second book to be published. When she is not creating and attending art shows, she is usually spending time with her 11 grandchildren, teaching art classes, or simply enjoying life. She lives with her husband in a 100-year-old house in St. Paul, Minnesota.
As Ladybug slowly wakes up on her swaying leaf, she notices the world around her before venturing off to greet all she sees. Featuring tender and endearing watercolor illustrations, "Did You Have a Good Sleep, Ladybug?" helps children gently wake from their nap or from a good night's sleep ready to explore their world.
Available on Amazon and through Itasca Books.

Lori Radecki began her foray into writing and illustrating children’s literature with this story, written in honor of the birth of her first grandchild in 2007. It started out as a poem and she decided to add illustrations and turn it into a book that he would have as a keepsake.
The animals in this story pour out all the love and excitement she felt leading up to his birth and ever since! Her love of visual art and the written word combine to create stories that can be treasured by young and old alike.
